Is it just my imagination, or is the Savage family going through some pretty rough times here lately?
For example:
1) The ongoing battles over non-related topics.
2) A run on problems that require simple common sense to figure out.
3) Correct me if I'm recalling incorrectly, but haven't two bikes self-destructed in the past month or so?
4) If Justin is correct and the Savage has a problem with oil pump failure, are all our rides gonna die on us soon?
5) I see I'm not the only one who is having trouble getting the bike to run smoothly. For the past couple of weeks, it has had a tendency to sputter and fume going down the road due to fuel flow trouble.
6) We need to get away from the politically sensitive nonsense for awhile at least. It is starting to open some definite rifts in our ranks.
7) Riders who need parts for older models- I hope you aren't in Dixieland. No dealer near me in Memphis carries so much as the correct heat range plug for my 98. I wish you all luck finding what you need, when you need it, and close to home.

I extend a welcome to all of the new forum members. You got a decent bike. Be very religious about maintenance, the bike takes some looking after.
For our older, or rather, long-term members, step back, take a look at what is going on here. It seems that we are starting to disappear at a fairly steady rate. I can understand a couple people a year, but in the two years I have been here, I'm pretty sure we have lost in the neighborhood of 20 regular contributors.

As for me, I found a shop here that carries used parts for HD's, and can order what you might desire for any other make, cheaper than the dealership.
Peace out. Live to ride, ride to live. It's coming back to Harley time, even if it is built piece by piece.
